Europe Is Cooking

About

We count the heat. Europe argues about the thermostat.

Europe Is Cooking is a live, public-data count of the people heat kills across Europe, and the cheap machine that would stop most of it. The frame is adaptation, not blame. Built on public data.

AC is not a crime.

What this is

A counter, a model, and a map. We take the published heat-death totals (ISGlobal, Nature Medicine), the air-conditioning gap (IEA), and the economic loss (Allianz Trade), and show what Europe loses by treating cooling as a vice instead of a tool.

Independent, on purpose

We take no money from anyone who sells an air conditioner. No ads, no manufacturer sponsorship, no affiliate links on the data. The argument is the product, not a funnel. That independence is the whole point.

Built on public data

Every figure is sourced and every coefficient is published. The 2024 death tolls are ISGlobal totals. Summer 2025 and 2026 are modeled, openly, and labeled as estimates. See exactly how we count.
